Madonna scores her eighth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with the debut of her MDNA, while Lionel Richie's all-star country collaborations covers album Tuskegee bows in the runner-up slot -- his highest-charting album since 1986.

Madonna MDNA sold 359,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, meanwhile, Richie's Tuskegee starts with 199,000.

MDNA is Madonna's fifth straight studio album to debut at No. 1. It follows 2008's Hard Candy, which moved 280,000 in its first week. MDNA's opener is her best sales week since 2000's Music shifted 420,000 when it debuted at No. 1. Madonna remains in second place among women with the most No. 1 albums. She now needs only one more No. 1 to tie Barbra Streisand, the leader among women with nine chart-toppers.

Hits Daily Double is reporting that Madonna's latest effort MDNA sold 357,943 copies in its first week in the USA for # 1. This easily beats the pop diva's last effort HARD CANDY, which moved 280,000 copies.

Madonna's massive first week tally also beats just about all of her fellow divas. Beyonce's last CD sold 317,000 copies in week one, while Britney Spears moved 276,000 and Rihanna & Katy Perry both had first week sales of around 200,000.

Long-time Madonna's dancer Sofia Boutella has revealed how working with the Queen of Pop prepared her for StreetDance 2.

Sofia toured with Madonna twice (Confessions Tour, Sticky & Sweet Tour) and most recently performed alongside her at the Super Bowl halftime show.

"It's amazing to work with her. She's a really strong woman and she's really inspiring," Sofia said. "Working with her taught me a lot in terms of discipline and what it takes to accomplish what you want artistically. She's also a great woman and an amazing mother. It has been eight years since I started working with her."

"When you dance with Madonna, you're not only dancing," adds Sofia. "She's also telling stories so you are acting as well. So it felt natural to come into acting."

"My kids are brutally honest when it comes to what they don't like," Madonna told The Sun. "They have no tact whatsoever. They'll just say, 'Mum, get that song off' even when mine. It's hurtful but at least they're honest."

Madonna also talked about how hard she is working for her upcoming 2012 World Tour. "I have to say that in more than 25 years of performing I have never worked so hard or been so scrupulous," confesses Madonna. "Or freaked out more than I have at the minute."

"My whole life has been a combination of hard work and prayer. Preparation is essential but you need as many angels watching over you as possible as well. I'm getting ready for rehearsing my world tour so I have been in training."

"There's been lots of cardio and I'm doing a combination of pilates and dance cardio. And there's been plenty of skipping rope work. The envelope I'm pushing for is as spectacular a show as I can. It should be a feast for the eyes and ears."
