Ok, she is Madonna, but it's incredible that she is able to arouse such viral controversy about a flower she doesn't like.
The episode was unintentionally funny, and in fact we gave prominence to it.
Anyway some media - this is not the case of CNN - used it as a mere excuse to sully Madonna and made people think that she offended one of her fans. Madonna was not rude at all with her Italian fan. She thanked him for the present, then she confessed with one of her actors that she doesn't like hydrangeas and added that "he [the fan] doesn't know it obviously." We also remind that Madonna didn't know her microphone was on.
There is a funny reportage broadcast by CNN, where it's said that Madonna insulted hydrangeas. Madonna's spokesperson Liz Rosenberg responds with a statement to CNN.
"She's entitled to like any flower she wants and she didn't want to hurt the feeling of the hydrangeas of the world," says Liz Rosenberg. "No disrespect to the hydrangeas lovers of the world but she prefers different types of flowers."
A lot of fuss about nothing. This is the evidence that she is still Madonna!
You probably watch the beginning of the press conference for W.E. in Venice several times. But did you ever notice what Madonna said when a fan gave her a hydrangea? Did you noticed her eyes reaction?
No, she didn't put it away because of the press conference she had to begin.
As you can listen and read on this clip, Madonna confessed: "I absolutely loathes hydrangeas." "He obviously doesn't know that," she added in an undertone.
What a funny episode!
A funny episode happened in Venice when Italian actress and sex-symbol Manuela Arcuri, landing on the Excelsior pier in Venice, ran into Madonna.
According to Italian newspaper Il Corriere de La Sera, like a common fan, Manuela completely went crazy. "Madonna, I love you," she screamed. Security didn't stop Manuela due to her popularity, but, since Madonna didn't know her, kept her at a distance with her hand.
But Manuela didn't care and immediately called her mother, who is also a fan of Madonna.
