As our Facebook and Twitter likers and followers already know, Jean-Paul Gualtier confirmed today that he is designing costumes for Madonna's MDNA World Tour. "Well, yes. Yes I am," Gualtier confesses to fashion editor Melanie Rickey.

 

DrownedMadonna.com alse learnt that Marchesa is designing clothes for the MDNA World Tour as well. You probably remember that Madonna worn a Marchesa dress for the New York Premiere of her W.E. movie.

 

More designers are working on Madonna 2012 World Tour.



As reported, Madonna will be at Macy's tonight to launch her True or Dare fragrance.

 

DrownedMadonna.com heard that, not only Madonna is doing red carpet interviews, but she is also sitting down for formal interviews to be taped tonight at a hotel in New York. Among the interviews Madonna is taping, there is one for NBC. It is all part of MDNA promotion as well.



It has been already reported that Madonna's 80 classic Open Your Heart is in the setlist of the MDNA World Tour. More details are now leaking on the reinvented version to be performed on stage.

 

Madonna is working with Kalakan to create a brand new version of Open Your Heart, as revealed by Madonnarama. As it happened for La Isla Bonita on the Sticky & Sweet Tour (and the Live Earth) with Lela Pala Tute, Open Your Heart will feature Sagarra Jo ! by Kalakan.

Madonna met the Basque trio last August when she visited different locations in the south-west of France. When visiting Guéthary in the Basque Country, Kalakan played for her an intimate birthday gig. Kalakan were introduced to Madonna by Labèqye sisters, who are the great pianists you can see in I'm Going to Tell You a Secret.

Lionel Richie & Madonna tweeting each other

Last night Madonna tweeted to Lionel Richie to congrat for his 2nd position on the Billboard Album chart in the USA. "Congrats on a successful record. To the other Ritchie in my life," tweeted Madonna.

 

And Lionel Richie replied: "There is no one I would rather be on top with. Congratulations!! I am so happy for you."

 

"What's going on family? Can you believe we are sitting on the top of the charts together again?" tweeted Lionel Richie. And Madonna tweeted back: "Every dog has its day. Remember when we were neighbors?"

 

 



It's not a secret that Madonna was and still is a big supporter of Barack Obama. Last night Madonna invited Obama to her show in Washington D.C.

 

"#Obama2012 are you coming to my show in Washington D.C.? Make a girl from Detroit happy," tweeted Madonna last night.



Madonna was surprised yesterday, when she went to the rehearsals for her upcoming tour. "Everyone hid in the band room to surprise and celebrate her MDNA #1 album," tweeted Guy Oseary. "She had no idea the album was #1."

 

"I'm a happy girl," Madonna tweeted a few hours ago.

 



Madonna scores her eighth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with the debut of her MDNA, while Lionel Richie's all-star country collaborations covers album Tuskegee bows in the runner-up slot -- his highest-charting album since 1986.

 

Madonna MDNA sold 359,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, meanwhile, Richie's Tuskegee starts with 199,000.

 

MDNA is Madonna's fifth straight studio album to debut at No. 1. It follows 2008's Hard Candy, which moved 280,000 in its first week. MDNA's opener is her best sales week since 2000's Music shifted 420,000 when it debuted at No. 1. Madonna remains in second place among women with the most No. 1 albums. She now needs only one more No. 1 to tie Barbra Streisand, the leader among women with nine chart-toppers.
