Last night was a special night in New York City and Milan for all fashion victims: it was the Fashion Night Out.
Gossip's frontwoman Beth Ditto performed at M.A.C. Cosmetics store in Soho, NYC, to promote her cool EP, which is a homage to the 90's. "First of all, house music, especially from the Nineties, is the gayest music ever," she told Rolling Stone. "It's all drum and bass, which is perfect for parties."
During the gig she also she performed Madonna's Vogue, "complete with a troupe of gesticulating, eye-liner-laden males writhing behind her," reports the Rolling Stone. "The response? Uproarious."
Last night gig was to promote Beth Ditto's EP, whose first single, I Wrote the Book, video absolutely has a Vogue-ish vibe as well some reference to Justify My Love... and we really like it!
It was not the first time that Beth Ditto enjoyed performing Vogue, for instance, she also did it at London's Lovebox Festival and in Moscow's Miller party.
So Beth Ditto loves Madonna. But is the feeling mutual? Reportedly Madonna loves Beth, and in July Madonna's manager Guy Oseary twetted: "I just showed Madonna the video of Beth Ditto performing Vogue at Moscow Miller party, She thought Beth was great..."

As I got older I made it my business to know everything about her, and when it was announced that The Girlie Show was coming to Adelaide I knew I’d get there somehow. I was one of the 40,000 at Adelaide Oval and I’ll never forget it.
“My partner and I have decided that we’re going to go and see her next tour, somewhere in the world, and I wish they’d get on and announce the dates!”
